The Jews for Jesus Workers Covenant used to say that that vocational staff could NOT stay on Jews for Jesus staff if divorce occurred. It didn't matter who was at fault. The person had to resign.
Not anymore.
David Brickner is staying on as Executive Director of Jews for Jesus anyway.
We've learned that some of Jews for Jesus' staff have left the organization because of this decision. They say they can no longer support the organization's leadership.
Moishe Rosen would have probably insisted that David resign.
Has Jews for Jesus credibility changed in your eyes because of this decision?

Have you heard about Araujo case?

As long as Jews for Jesus has left it's strong evangelical Christian moorings by allowing their divorced leader to stay on the job, why not abandon the Biblical mandate not to sue another believer?
What will it take for all Jews for Jesus donors to see what this group has become?
The reason that divorce, while too common is an issue in the pastorate is because it is a COVENANT that is broken. Broken covenants carry with them a lifelong effect: God's word is not mocked.
The issue regarding Brickner and J4J has become serious to many of us. Mr. Brickner seems to have lost sight of boundaries, and too many of us have had our reputations impugned or our small but sincere ministries ruined by his 'conquistador' attitudes. I do not see a person who respects boundaries or covenants, and while I know little of those circumstances, I do know that having very little knowledge of him, he was insulting and cruel, even in a minor interchange, and there has been a pattern of trying to 'change the rules' in publications and posts which violate others rights in ministry.
I rarely openly criticize any who work in pastoral concerns, even some very offensive folk, but we have to make a turn around in just letting everything go, and adjusting God's Word so we can do whatever we want.
I minister through a 'no-profit' ministry, totally for the purpose of teaching the Word, and have had considerable interference and degradation from J4J , of whom I know almost no one. Where's this coming from? The Heart of Yshua? Don't think so.
Bitterness, rivalry, pride, avarice, and almost violent oneupsmanship is killing Messianic efforts.
If everyone would do their own work obeying the Holy Spirit for ideas and direction, instead of 'borrowing' other's ideas and then slandering them to cover it up, perhaps we would find peace in our homes, hearts, and ministries: I have found that when I follow the Lord's leading, he deals with adversaries to the work.
For 24 of my 25 years in Christianity I have had respect for J4J at least in their spirit. Recently, I have to withdraw my endorsement. I pray that they prayerfully consider a leader with brains and heart, and respect for the covenant.
