if by the word "served" you mean aiming at a higher purpose, then realize that type of "service" was not realized.
if by "served" you mean a form of indentured servitude (where jfj exercised ownership over your life), then it wouldn't be "served with jews for jesus" it would be "served moishe rosen and his agenda while employed by his fund raising organization called jews for jesus" would be more accurate."
one thing is clear, serving god and serving with jews for jesus turned out to be mutually exclusive catagories for many former employees of the organization.

When I look at this picture I realize that each face represented a young life that may once have had joy in it.
JFJ took the joy of knowing Jesus away from hundreds of people and replaced that joy with rules, punishments, fear, and misery.
For some, marriages and families were destroyed. Others walked away from faith. Others grew in their faith and served God elsewhere.
Everyone who once served with Jews for Jesus is connected by a common bond.

But most who enter the army don't enter for life. JFJ expects lifetime committments and few follow through and stay for life.
